Residential Support Services

supported-livingThe Supportive Living Program – Serves adults with chronic & persistent mental illness and/or developmental disabilities. As JRS does not provide housing, the program’s participants live independently in their own homes. A team of mental health/direct support professionals provide comprehensive individualized support based upon the person’s specific needs and desires. For some, this may include assistance with medication and symptom management. All program participants receive one-on-one in-home and/or community assistance with skill development while improving the quality of their lives.

Charles Morris and Jason Kramer Halls – HUD subsidized apartment buildings in Squirrel Hill developed collaboratively by JRS and Action-Housing. The buildings offer affordable housing to individuals with developmental disabilities who are able to live independently. JRS staff facilitates group events such as Sabbath Dinners, wellness groups and educational activities. Action Housing provides building management and maintains the waiting lists for occupancy. If interested in applying to live in one of these halls, please contact Supportive Housing Management Services (SHMS) at 412.829.3910
