Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

50/50 Raffle and Basket Auction

On April 26, 2018, the Howard Levin Clubhouse hosted a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser. In addition to delicious food prepared by Clubhouse colleagues, the evening featured a 50/50 raffle and basket auction. The Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser was such a success that it will likely become an annual event!


 

Garden Mitzvah Day

The Howard Levin Clubhouse hosted their spring Garden Mitzvah Day to open the garden for 2018 growing season on April 22, 2018. Clubhouse colleagues and friends from the community worked hard and had fun at the Howard Levin Clubhouse garden which is located on the grounds of Community Day School. The Howard Levin Clubhouse garden provides fresh produce for weekday lunches and Shabbat dinners prepared and served at the Clubhouse.


 

Clubhouse International Accreditation

Residential Supportive Living Program

On April 3, 2018, the Residential Supportive Living Program hosted its annual Lynn Robins Passover Seder at Charles Morris Hall. Many thanks to Rabbi Eli Seidman for leading the Seder, Cantor Laura Berman and Ed Frim for musical accompaniment, and the Robins Family for underwriting this lovely annual event.


 

Shore-Whitehill Award

On May 17, Dr. Matthew Keller, board president of Jewish Family and Community Services received the 2018 Shore-Whitehill Award at the JFCS annual meeting. The Shore-Whitehill Award celebrates volunteers who promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in the fabric of Jewish life through advocacy or direct service to individuals and families.


 

JRS Walking Program

The JRS Walking Program kicked off the 2018 season with a walk at the Pittsburgh Zoo in April. JRS also participated in the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community in May. The Walking Program is a great way to stay in shape and visit interesting places in the Pittsburgh area!
